Shared Lives Training
Shared Lives Training is designed as entry-level training for Foster Carers and ran by our dedicated Carer Support Team who you’ll be collaborating with during your time with Muloobinba.
We are offering this free two-day intensive workshop and training seminar for anyone that is interested in becoming a foster or kinship carer with Muloobinba and help our most vulnerable children in our community!

COURSE OUTCOMES
Our training offers a comprehensive exploration of foster care essentials.
Participants will gain insights into the process of children entering care, the vital role of foster carers, and the significance of family involvement. They'll learn effective strategies for supporting children impacted by developmental trauma, maintaining their cultural connections, and managing the personal impact of caregiving. We emphasize the importance of fostering a supportive environment and teamwork. Topics covered in Shared Lives Training range from understanding rights and responsibilities to promoting positive behaviour, how to prepare for a child to be placed and navigating identity and culture in caregiving.
