Domestic and Family Violence Youth Workers
Supporting Young People Affected by Domestic and Family Violence
Our Domestic and Family Violence Youth Workers provide vital support for young girls who are involved in the court system or connected to youth justice. We work with young people who have experienced — or are using — domestic, family, or intimate partner violence.
This voluntary program is open to self-referrals as well as referrals from other agencies, giving young people a safe and supportive space to begin their journey towards healing and change.
What We Offer
We tailor our support to the unique needs of each young person, offering:
Case Management
We help young people set and achieve goals that matter to them, such as education, employment, mental health support, anger management, and alcohol and drug use.Awareness Workshops
We provide education around domestic, family, and intimate partner violence to build understanding and resilience.One-on-One Mentoring
Personalised guidance and support from a dedicated youth worker.Court Support
Assistance navigating the court system, including attending court with the young person when needed.Youth Justice Support
Additional support for young people involved with youth justice services.Weekly Girls Group
A safe space every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm where young girls can connect, share experiences, and build skills together.
