SAY Night Patrol -
Now accepting Expressions of Interest

The Safe Aboriginal Youth – SAY program provides a night patrol bus service that supports Aboriginal Young people with a safe ride to a safe place and off the streets. The SAY program covers Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens Local Government Areas. Night patrols will be conducted 2 nights per week by 2 community members.

We are developing a roster for the night patrols. Shifts will commence on Thursdays and Fridays and are for 4-6 hours and could be between the hours of 8pm to 1am with targeted areas of patrol in each Local Government Area.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal community members to participate in the roster of the Safe Aboriginal Youth Program.

You must:

  • Have a current unrestricted driver’s license as you need to be competent driving a 12 seater bus.

  • A Working with Children Check and willing to undertake a National Criminal Record Check.

These are paid positions paid at Level 3 Pay Point 1 under the SCHADS Award.
